Extensive Lineage Available
By making use of the MCA Public Library resources staff can find and print out articles from our extensive collection, as well as search through the MCA obituary Indexes from 1860 to 1963 below, compiled by patron Robert Miller. This includes obituaries and military information compiled from Newspapers covering our area.
Research for obituaries and death notices in the area Newspapers is available for a fee of $20.00 for up to 5 searches/names. ($20.00 for 1-5 names; $40.00 for 6-10 and so on) Please send your request giving us as much information as possible including possible name spellings, dates, and your return mailing address. We will not begin any research until payment is received. Checks are to be made out to the Mount Carmel Area Public Library. Please note “Genealogy” on the memo line of your check.

An act of love done to the best of his ability, the index may still be incomplete or incorrect. Mr. Miller compiled this index for the Mount Carmel Area Public Library and it is copyrighted material.
The index is listed alphabetically by Last Name, along with the date the obituary appeared in the newspaper (NOT the date of death. Whenever possible, the page on which it appears is also included. If you live in the area please feel free to stop at the library and ask to use the microfilm reader/printer.
