By making use of the MCA Public Library resources you can find and print out articles from our extensive Microfilm collection, Local Histories, Coal Mining Histories, High School Year Book Collection. As well as search through the MCA Obituary Indexes from 1860 to 1963 noted below,compiled by patron Robert Miller which includes obituaries and military information compiled from Newspapers covering our area.
Research for obituaries and death notices in the area Newspapers is available for a fee of $15.00 for up to 5 names every 5 names. ($15.00 for 1-5 names; $30.00 for 6-10 and so on.) Please send your request giving us as much information as possible including possible name spellings, dates, and your return mailing address. We will not begin any research until payment is received. Checks are to be made out to the Mount Carmel Area Public Library~ Please note "Genealogy" on the memo line of your check.
